Convergence

We have seen exponential growth of connected society in which it is possible to communicate anywhere, anytime.

Gurus talk about the power of digital media, expanding consumption and convergence of global markets, media, content & technology. They tout convergence as both a root cause and remedy for audience fragmentation. Convergence is cited as a primary condition in global markets for purposes of strategic planning in the electronic age.

But something essential has been overlooked in the rush to ecommerce and the marketing of news and innovation.:

  • On balance, we are part of an overriding wave & rising tide of integration that is complex and comprehensive;
  • Over the long run, the market place is shaped by an exchange among a relatively heterogeneous series or collection of individual needs and means;
  • Major influences for enterprise today may be better understood in terms of integration: the multifaceted process of personal transformation; social, organizational and technological development; learning; and market consolidation across the global economy.

Integration can be a conscious response to the disintegration of markets, as value is created and destroyed in an ongoing ebb and flow. Integration can fuel growth at all levels because value can result when we bring together diverse resources and capacities. Integration programs can provide a path for technology migration. Fundamental value is derived from the creative, collaborative and recombinant capabilities of people.

In these terms, we see opportunity for sustainable growth in this fast changing world and next-generation networks. Success requires an adaptive practice that enables more productive work, learning to change and design for a future together.

EngineX  can translate possibilities into profitable reality through application of collective knowledge and relevant methodologies.
